Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou, the oldest of her four siblings, was born on 8 August 1976 in Beaumont Puy-de-Domme. The actress was encouraged by her parents, a dentist and a teacher who were both teachers to pursue her passion for acting. It was in stark contrast with her previous desire to become a primateologist because she was fascinated by monkeys. Success in the beginning and an immediate growth in popularity made her a promising young actor. When she completed her education and completing her studies, she took part in the French TV show that scouts talent Jeunes Premiers. The show awarded her the Best Young Actress in the Beziers Festival of Young Actors and started her career acting as an actress. While she attended an institution called the Institut Catholique de Paris and went to church as a child, Tautou has shunned the Catholic tradition, saying that she is not officially Catholic. In addition to her acting career, she tried her hand at modeling. The model is also the face of L'Oreal Mont Blanc & Chanel and has been referred to as the Chanel Muse. Alongside her acting career she also has a keen interest in photography. Recently, she exhibited a selection photos during Arles Film Festival. Arles Film Festival and wore the title Superficial. Through her photos, she is particularly focused on celebrity and the media. The camera is turned towards journalists who are examining the actress after Amelie's sudden success. Audrey Tautou became a star and was recognized internationally for her role debut as Amelie Poulain in Le Fabuleux Destination d'Amelie. Amelie is a global box-office film that received acclaim during awards ceremonies across the world. The film is still the top grossing French language film on the market in US. The film's popularity led to Tautou's appearance in numerous films ranging from British dramas like Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things to Jean-Pierre Jeunet's long-distance Sunday of fiancailles. She then moved to Hollywood by directing Ron Howard of The Da Vinci Code, a Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code along with Tom Hanks.
